Giving Back Editing Giveaway

Oooh, free stuff. Who couldn’t use that right about now?
Many of us have been trapped at home for months with no end in sight. Many of us have suddenly been able to carve out a bit more time for writing and have typed those two little words that pack so much: “Fade Out” or “The End”.
We all know what comes next: The Edit.
COVID-19 has wreaked havoc around the globe. The loss of life is staggering and even more shocking by the day. Households have been crippled by loss of wages. Well, except billionaires. And, really? Screw those guys.
You may have noticed my absence - and thank you to all those that reached out - but my husband and I relocated back to my home state. Just before the move, one of my clients asked if they could get their money back because they suddenly found themselves without a job. Of course, I immediately refunded them (and still completed their edit gratis). But, that just broke my heart. And I know they aren’t alone.
How do you rationalize spending money on something that will benefit you in the future versus, I don’t know, food? You simply can’t.
My sole goal is to help writers. Period. I’ve had a lot of help along the way. I don’t know where I’d be without my editor, advice I’ve received, notes I’ve been given. And while I try to give back some of that advice or what I’ve learned both in a professional capacity and plain ol’ trial and error, it’s not the same as a professional edit and personal guiding hand.
So, it’s my turn to pay it forward.

The entry period will run from December 11, 2020 until December 23, 2020 with two winners (one for manuscripts and one for screenplays) chosen at random on December 24, 2020.
Winners’ work must be submitted for editing by January 31, 2020.
